The past twenty-five years, Darlene and I have had the pleasure of sailing on several Regent and Oceania cruises. Each one was a fantastic experience, and as always, we enjoyed excellent meals, entertainment, onboard lectures, and relaxation. But most of all, it was terrific to wake up to a new destination every morning and encounter the local culture and scenery.

Regent ships have a maximum capacity of 750 guests, or less, providing an intimate and tailor-made atmosphere. Oceania ships have a capacity of 700 to 1,200 passengers.

On most days the ship arrives in the morning as you are having breakfast and does not depart until the evening, allowing for in-depth exploration as you immerse yourself in the local culture and experience the local life .
